The create sheet's Source picker groups the built-in minimal template, your catalog templates and Docker images together, and says which one restores warm and which cold-boots — a template carrying a pre-warmed snapshot reaches READY in under a second instead of booting from scratch. Any snapshot you already have can be promoted into a template from the Snapshots tab; nothing is rebuilt, the checkpoint becomes the template's warm image.

Because a template brings its own defaults, the CPU and memory steppers go down to "Template default" rather than bottoming out at 1 vCPU and 128 MiB. Setting either one replaces the template's defaults for both, and the form tells you so where you set it.
